Pittsburgh Marathon

Pittsburgh’s biggest sporting event is ready to get back to normal.

May 7, 2023 @ 7am

While the Penguins, Pirates and Steelers all draw big game day crowds, none can compare to the crowd that comes out for the Pittsburgh Marathon. With more than 30,000 participants and 300,000 spectators, it’s an event that draws people and dollars to the city.

Benefits of small rise apartment buildings.

Being on the bottom

In a smaller mid-rise, the bottom floor is really just the garden level of the building. Those buildings with a few more levels may mean the bottom consists of 1-3 stories. Regardless, living on the bottom floors provide:

  • Easy access both into and out of the building
  • A quicker trip to ground-floor amenities like common outdoor space
  • The ability to take the stairs all the time rather than dealing with the elevator

You also don’t have to worry about annoying a neighbor below you should you want to move furniture around, invite friends over or just tend to walk heavily.

Seafood Pasta & Bean Soup

This is a great recipe to make at your home in the http://www.starloftspgh.com

4 Servings:

10 ounces Bartolotti beans, drained and cooked with a pinch of bicarhonate
8 oz. cleaned tiny mollusks; baby Octopus, baby squid, curled octopus, mussels and tartufo (warty venus)
3-1/2-5 oz. lobster bisque
1/4 cup white wine
1/4 cup olive oil
2 oz. smoked pancetta bacon
Salt and chilli pepper
2 cloves garlic
1/2 onion, thinly sliced
5 0z. tomato pulp
Aromatic herbs: parsley, etc.

7 oz. fettuccine-type pasta cut in small, irregular pieces
Cook the beans. Sauté in oil the cloves or garlic, onion, chilli pepper and smoked bacon. Remove the garlic when brown. Add the tomato pulp and
the mollusks, which have been previously cleaned and prepared. When the cooking is completed, mix beans, mollusks (plus the cooking liquid) and pasta (which may be cooked separately or together with the rest).
Add the lobster bisque, which will provide a good base and mix
all the ingredients together. Sprinkle with parsley and serve.

Snow. I find it to be delicious

Same with a good nap. A great book.A weighted blanket. Sipping warm cocoa.

Slippers.All delicious.
The Norwegian word for this is:”Koselig”(the “g” is silent)
“Koselig is a Nordic state of mind focusing on coziness. It is a way to embrace and enjoy winter rather thanendure or suffer though it…”

Its fun and cozy at the http://www.StarLoftsPgh.com in the winter!

We will miss them!

Anyone who gets the opportunity to live at Starloft is in for a treat. The space is beautiful and open, while remaining cozy inside downtown Pittsburgh. You must take advantage of the location near the cultural district for entertainment and dining. The open floor plan made it especially nice to stay home to cook dinner and watch a movie. While the location and top class interior finishes are great, the best part of Starloft is Janet and Charlie. They were always readily available if there was any issue. They made us feel like family. We will miss them as much as the apartment.
