The Cultural District is Formed

Since 1984, the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, a non-profit arts organization, has worked to make the Steel City a place where the arts can flourish. Our efforts have focused on the cultural and economic development of the Cultural District, a 14-square-block area of downtown Pittsburgh. What was once a downtrodden red light district now thrives as a vibrant center for culture, art, food, and community. Pittsburgh’s Cultural District stands as a nationwide model for how the arts can play a pivotal role in urban revitalization.

Calm In A Chaotic World

It’s a crazy world that we live in and with all of the chaos (defined as disorder and confusion) it is important to try to keep some resemblance of normality. Many of my friends and peers are doing the best that they can without feeding into the false news or making things worse. We have so many people that we know that are affected by the closures and shut downs that I thought it important to have our normal Monday night.

Focus tonight on some of the different resources available to everyone and some of the things that you can do to Stay Calm  with this pandemic that is affecting us all.

Carnegie Museum of Art

The Carnegie Museum of Art is an institution in Pittsburgh’s artistic legacy. For any visitor to Pittsburgh, it is as much a must-do as the iconic Duquesne Incline. And, art lovers and enthusiasts are likely to find something incredible during a trip to the CMOA. Find it right in the heart of the Oakland neighborhood, among the legendary universities and medical centers, bustling college students, and delicious food.

A short uber ride to the Carnegie Museum is a fun trip from your home Downtown at the

Craig Davis says…

“I was a resident in both the Star Loft and Sky Loft for 2 ½ years; both apartments are beautiful, clean, and well maintained. You can’t find a better location to live in Pittsburgh- right in the heart of the cultural district, within walking distance to all downtown businesses, theaters, restaurants and nightlife. Charlie and Janet are the perfect landlords- professional, responsive, and above all kind. I will miss them and would enthusiastically recommend their beautiful building to anyone.”
