Hamilton is returning! 2021
The Broadway production, which is based off of Ron Chernow’s biography Alexander Hamilton, won 11 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, in 2016.

Janet – Cantor in the Choir

Did you know, the developer and proprietress of the StarLoftsPgh.com is Cantor of her church choir at St. Catherine of Siena. Janet has been a vocalist for several years, and appreciates the music of the Pittsburgh Symphony, and the fantastic Broadway musicals that play at the Benedum.

Summary:
1945. Dresden, Germany. Two children and their mother flee falling bombs during World War II. They aren’t alone, though. An adorable elephant from the zoo named Marlene becomes an unlikely family member. Along the way, this extraordinary quartet of refugees meet a Canadian officer cowering in a barn, a school choir on the run and their Countess savior who is harboring them from the Nazis.
This story of family, elephant, friends and enemy-turned-ally illustrates the importance of love, resolve, and hope in wartime and anytime. Party based on a true story, an Elephant in the Garden is an adaptation from the best-selling novel by Michael Morpurgo, author of over 100 books including War Horse, Private Peaceful and Kensuke’s Kingdom.

SYNOPSIS
Little Shop of Horrors is a delectable sci-fi horror musical with an electrifying 1960s pop/rock score by Alan Menken and Howard Ashman.
Seymour Krelborn is a meek and dejected assistant at a floral shop who happens upon a strange plant, which he affectionately names “Audrey II” after his crush at the shop. Little does he know that this strange and unusual plant will develop a soulful R&B voice, a potty mouth, and an unquenchable thirst for HUMAN BLOOD.
As Audrey II grows bigger and meaner, the carnivorous plant promises limitless fame and fortune to Seymour, as long as he continues providing a fresh supply of blood. Just when it’s too late, Seymour discovers Audrey II’s extra-terrestrial origins and his true drive for world-domination.
